Long time, a good deal of work

I've worked a very long time now on this strange graphic novel I'm doing, Aztec dreams. It isn't very meaningful but I consider it a launching pad for the next story that has a principle that has great meaning for me.

Pretty, but very time consuming

Something that I thought would take 3-4 days (USING TAPE!)  turned into about 9 days.

methods for the zigzags

At times I was just hating Sherwin Williams for doing this to me with their paints.  I COULDN'T use painters' tape.  I was using a metal straight edge thing that painters use to make a straight paint line.  But  it wasn't easy.
There is still some messiness here.  I went back over a good many areas with a small fine arts brush.

Chevron Pattern

I agreed to do a currently popular design called a Chevron pattern.   Unfortunately for me, I didn't know that I would not be able to use painters' tape with this new Sherwin Williams paint.  But before I knew this,  I tried using Frog tape to mark the points of the design.
These pieces were falling off.  So next I just pencilled in the lines.
I used a laser level as well as an ordinary hand-held level to get it exact all the way across the wall and the 45 degree angles.  Each diagonal line is as close to 12" as I can get it.  The height of each layer is 8"tall and 8" wide.
